Occupy movement rising:  insight, links

Occupy Wall Street is becoming a serious movement, highlighting crucial concerns that affect us all yet receive far too little attention in the mainstream news, political campaigns, and everyday conversation:

  • the huge and growing inequality in the US in wealth, income, health care, education, housing, hope…
  • the lack of support for programs to create jobs, serve working people, and help those in need; meanwhile, corporate tax breaks and loopholes increase, and military spending sets records, year after year…
  • the dominance of corporations on our politics, media, campaigns, federal budget, legislative options…

This page aims to support our efforts to influence issues like these. Consider sharing what you find useful with friends, co-workers, etc. [Live links to these and other resources are on the websites in the box at the bottom of this page]. And join with others in organizations working for justice, equality, democracy, sustainability, peace.
